Polo shirt

Short-sleeved shirt designed to be worn on the world’s polo fields. It went from being simple sportswear to a status symbol in 1927 when it was reinvented by René Lacoste, the tennis champion and businessman who transformed the way people dressed on the courts of Wimbledon and Roland Garros with his crocodile logo (until then they played in long pants, shirt and tie). His creation then made its way from the courts to a more public domain, and with time it became more of a classic item rather than a trendy one, satisfying the desire for an elegant piece of sportswear.
