International marketing organization set up in 1980 by the world’s biggest platinum producer Angloplatinum, with the aim of promoting the manufacture and consumption of platinum jewelry. The London headquarters coordinates the activities of the operating organizations present in (in order of volume of consumption) China, Japan, USA, Italy, Germany, and India. It has had a branch in Italy since 1987, based in Milan and run by Franµoise Izaute (managing director), and Milena Granata (market development manager). The branch’s intensive promotional activities are aimed at jewelers, and its impressive public information and communications program have brought about an increase in the annual consumption of platinum jewelry in Italy from 20 to 1,800 kilograms.
