Nyl

Nyl brand prêt-à-porter born in 2001

It is an Italian prêt-à-porter brand. It was launched in January 2001, designed by Raimondo Ciofani and produced by the clothing production group Lamberti. Two years of preparation were required for the first Fall-Winter line, followed by a debut on the Milan runways in October 2002. Ciofani, who lives in Rome, was the designer and creator of Swish jeans until 1998 when he moved to the Sixty Group. In Nyl he has created a youthful, dynamic and flexible fashion, perfect for every occasion. He abandoned the denim and transgressions that made him famous in the past and created a commercially safe collection “of substance.”

He used avant-garde textiles worked with lasers, water resistant silks and nylons, emery-treated stretch cottons for tight pants and tracksuits, and masculine fabrics for long skirts. Basic colors (just black and white), printed denim patchwork, leather, suede, and cotton for 1970s revival designs, transparent black for the evening, and fun details such as zips with small stones, necklaces on shoes, and silver chains hanging between the legs. Shirts were given a prime role, made of cotton jacquard and often worn underneath a bustier or with a tie.
