Nomination

Italian jewelry company founded in 1983 at Sesto Fiorentino. In 1987, it created the modular bracelet Nomination, thanks to the combination of plaquettes in steel and gold decorated in relief or with enamels with letters of the alphabet and various symbols. The immediate success of this piece of jewelry allowed the company that produced it to develop other ideas, all utilizing different modular elements that express messages and references that are easily identifiable by a young public. Little by little, rings, bracelets, pendants, necklaces, and watches appeared. Many international celebrities — from Madonna to Tom Cruise, Julia Roberts to Jennifer Lopez — have worn Nomination designs at public events and have turned the pieces of jewelry into cult objects. In 2003, Nomination was selected by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences to provide a modular bracelet that can be personalized for the highly desirable “Gift Basket,” an exclusive gift given to the best Hollywood artists on Oscar night. Other successful pieces include Xte, the line of extendable bracelets in gold, diamonds and precious stones, with ornamental multi-colored motifs, and Rh Nomination, a collection of military inspired pendants and Croce, again made with linking steel plaquettes.
