French shoe business. Founded in 1934 by entrepreneur Bertrand Lozes, who concentrated production on children’s shoes, but began to produce women’s footwear in 1948. The company became famous for a high quality of workmanship combined with haute couture, all at a reasonable price. The collection was sold through the department store Printemps and around 30 smaller shops around France, and became a firm favorite with French women, young and old.
&Quad;2003. After a crisis in which the company reached the brink of bankruptcy in 2001-2002, the doors are still open at Rue Louis-Vigne.
