Mh Way

Italian leather goods company. Founded in 1982, with headquarters in Fizzonasco, in the province of Milan. It began by producing objects and folders in cardboard, intended for use by architects and designers. The following year it launched the Puma line, a project that revolutionized the traditional briefcase, turning it into a rigid, square, semi-transparent container in corrugated polypropylene that was imitated all over the world. In 1985, it presented Impronta, an innovative line, both technically and in terms of its design, made in seamless fabric. From then onwards the success of the brand allowed the company to open stores in Milan and Paris, in addition to franchising shops and retail spaces elsewhere. It also expanded its production to include various lines of bags and accessories, for work, travel, and free time. More recently, the Tenore line, a collection in natural colored leather, and the Pronto line, unisex colored or bicolored bags in nylon intertwined with silver threads, fitted pockets, hidden straps, zips, and pull-out openings. Mh Way’s products are all designed by the Japanese architect, Makio Hasuike, who also oversees the company’s image, from its packaging to marketing. Today, Mh Way objects have become cult articles across the world, and have received awards at the Triennale, Macef, Smau, Design Plus, and Compasso d’Oro. The Zoom telescope and the Impronta rucksack are on display at the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Pompidou Centre in Paris, the Permanent Exhibition in Vienna and at the Triennale in Milan. To mark its 20th anniversary in May 2002, Mh Way produced a limited edition of the Impronta line, with eight new products.
