Charles (1848-1934). French illustrator who worked in the world of fashion from 1912, when he was already relatively old and famous for his close collaboration with the satirical journals, Le Rire, Le Sourire and La Vie Parisienne. It was La Gazette du Bon Ton that offered him the opportunity to illustrate fashion. From then on he also worked for the Journal des Dames, Fémina, Vogue and Vanity Fair.
