Marie Mercié is a brand and store named after the milliner who since the late 1980s has had a boutique in Rue Saint Sulpice in Paris with highly theatrical window displays. A trend-setter capable of reviving the popularity of the small hat, she previously studied art and archaeology, successfully worked as an artist and directed the magazine Latitude. She presents collections twice a year, which are also distributed through department stores such as Printemps in Paris and Barney’s in New York.
