Links of London
Links of London is an English brand of jewelry and accessories.
The company was created in 1990 by the couple Annoushka Ducas and John Ayton, and is located in Guildford, near London. The name “links” comes from cufflinks. These were Annoushka’s first creation: for her mother’s customers (her mother owns some fishing boats in the Northern Sea), she had created a pair of cufflinks with a small silver pendant fish as a gift. These cufflinks became a best-selling article, as did some sweetie bracelets, which look like colored candies, and other pendants and accessories. She uses precious and semi-precious stones, lapislazuli, rose quartz, mother-of-pearl and onyx set with gold and silver. Lots of jewels are hand-finished using ancient and traditional manufacturing techniques.
The most heavily used material is silver, as a result of which which Annoushka was awarded the Oscar as best silver designer in the United Kingdom Jewelry Awards. In addition, the company was awarded the Best Retail Image Award. Links of London has 100 workers and a turnover of about 17 million euros. In London the brand is distributed in 9 shops and the large department stores, abroad in 9 own-brand boutiques and in 300 sales points, among which Hong Kong, Tokyo, Dubai, Paris, Toronto, and Singapore.
