Wexner, Leslie

Leslie Wexner (1937) is an American business entrepreneur. He is the founder of the Limited chain of shops. Born in Dayton, Ohio, into a family of merchants, he opened his own sportswear shop at the age of 26. He offers very targeted articles at modest prices. For this reason, he was one of the first to seriously compete with department stores.

Today his group controls 5400 shops throughout the United States and includes, in addition to The Limited, Limited Too for children, Structure for men’s fashion, Victoria’s Secret for underwear, Bath and Body Works for cosmetics, Bendel, Express, Lerner, Lane Bryant. The entire company employs 131,000 people.
