Lebole

Long existent brand of the Marzotto Group. Created as a clothing company during Italy’s economic boom, Lebole clothed generations of the lower-middle and middle classes. In the mid-1980s, together with Lanerossi, it was taken over by Marzotto. Though losing much of the prestige it had enjoyed during the roaring 1960s, Lebole continued to maintain its leadership in Italy in the sale of jackets and coats (about 4.1% market share), with a turnover in 1998 of about $50 million. In 1998 the brand began a radical restyling, adding shirts, knitwear, and accessories to its range of suits. It expanded its collection and opened dozens of corners in the most important Italian department stores.
