Kroes Doutzen (1985) is a Dutch supermodel and actress, known for being an Angel, the prestigious role typical of American lingerie brand Victoria’s Secret.

Career 2000-2010
Doutzen’s career is amazing. She has appeared on the covers of major fashion magazines: Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Vanity Fair, Numéro, but also in magazines such as Time.
Many brands chose Kroes as a model in their fashion shows and her face for their advertising campaigns, including: Gucci, Dolce & Gabbana, Versace, Valentino, Escada, Tommy Hilfiger and Nieman Marcus.
In 2005, Calvin Klein hires her to be the testimonial of his Eternity perfume, and the readers of Vogue name her “model of the year”.
The following year, Kroes signs a three-year contract with L’Oréal Elvive, along with actresses Eva Longoria and Kerry Washington.
Also in that year, Omrop Fryslân, broadcaster of the NPO shoots a documentary on Kroes, which wins the NL-Award for best regional documentary.
In May 2007, she is on the cover of Vogue together with other colleagues. Together, they are elected the next generation of supermodels. Additionally, Forbes magazine names her one of the 15 highest paid models in the world.
A year later, Kroes appears in the Pirelli Calendar and receives a wax statue of her at the Amsterdam branch of the Madame Tussauds museum.
In 2009, Doutzen is once again the testimonial of Eternity and of the Spring-Summer collection bags with Gabriel Aubry.
The following year, he is the face of Blumarine‘s Spring-Summer collection. In February she walks for Prada, a fashion show praised by magazines for having employed models that are not too thin.
Career 2011-2015
In 2011, Kroes is the stai in Nova Zembla, the first Dutch film in 3D.
Two years later she is the face of the advertising campaigns for Miu Miu, Bruno Magli, H&M and Tiffany & Co and for Emilio Pucci‘s Autumn-Winter.
In September she marks the record for the most appearances on Vogue, as she has appeared four times on Vogue Italia, Vogue Spain, Vogue China and Vogue Holland. The record will be surpassed in 2017 by Bella Hadid, with the appearance on 5 covers.
The following year, together with the actor Charlie Hunnam, Calvin Klein chooses Doutzen as testimonial of the new fragrance: Reveal.
In 2015 she appears in the H&M Summer campaign together with JOan Smalls, Adriana Lima and Natasha Poly.
Career 2016-2020
In 2016 she is the face of Mugler‘s Spring-Summer, appearing in Vogue Japan in February, while in September Hunkemöller, the German lingerie brand, chooses her as testimonial.
The following year, Kroes and colleagues Isabeli Fontana and Natasha Poly are testimonials for the Balmain Spring-Summer campaign.
Together with Lara Stone, she appears on the cover of Vogue Holland, in provocative shots taken by photographer Mario Testino.
In the same year she participates in the cast of Wonder Woman and Justice League.
The following year she is the new ambassador of the Piaget jewelry brand and in 2020 she is on the cover Vogue Japan.
Victoria’s secret
Doutzen Kroes has been a Victoria’s Secret Angel since 2008.
She is the protagonist in various campaigns for the brand and participates in almost all the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Shows: in 2005, 2006, 2008, 2009, 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014, she skips the 2010 edition due to her pregnancy. On December 2, 2014, she participates in the show 4 months after the birth of her second daughter.
In 2014 she participates in the commercial of the brand aired during the Superbowl together with Adriana Lima, Behati Prinsloo, Candice Swanepoel and Lily Aldridge.
In 2015 she leaves the brand.
Private life
On November 7, 2010, she marries DJ Sunnery James in Amsterdam. The two have two children, born in 2011 and 2014, respectively.
