K-Boxing debuted in Milan with the Kb Hong line

In 2020, on the occasion of the Milanese fashion week, the Chinese brand appreciated for its menswear proposals with a business-casual appeal, launched a new luxury line. An exclusive presentation-event, designed to celebrate 40 years of success and aim for the future.

After 40 years of experience in the production of jackets, the brand understood the need to develop the market based on consumer demands, developing a “multi-brand” and “multi-category” fashion group.

During the “Into the Mirage” themed evening, the brand debuted in the splendid setting of the Museo del Novecento with the launch of the KB HONG line, on the occasion of its 40th year of activity in the clothing sector.

It’s a collection designed specifically for the contemporary businessman, careful to details and the quality of Made in Italy, which is found in particular in the fabrics chosen by Boming Hong, creative director of the collection, as well as creative director and CEO of the family business K-Boxing.

The “Into The Mirage” themed fashion show

40 looks, one for every year since the foundation of the brand, to celebrate the launch of KB HONG. The fashion show, entitled Into the Mirage, was inspired by how the future was imagined in the 50s and 60s. Moreover, he paid tribute with some models to the Chinese painter Yu Chang, French by adoption. He lived between the end of the nineteenth century and the Sixties and he is known for having been able to combine the Eastern tradition with the Western art of the time.

In the first collection of the Kb Hong brand a series of elements blend perfectly. From the combination of Eastern and Western culture, to tradition, modernity and avant-garde.

A declared commitment to more sustainable fashion was added to this intent, as evidenced by the fact that K-Boxing was the first Chinese company to sign the United Nations Fashion Industry Charter for Climate Action and to co- promote the Climate Innovation Fund. Moreover in 2019 it joined the advisory board of the K-Generation Award, sponsored by the French luxury group Kering.

K-Boxing arrived for the second time in Milan with the Kb Hong line

After its debut at the Milan Fashion Week last year, for the second time during the event the Chinese brand Kb Hong presented a new short film dedicated to the new Fall-Winter 2021-2022 collection.

With the title “New Dawn” the Chinese brand symbolically returned to its birthplace: on the beaches of Jinjiang, in the suburbs of Quanzhou. The collection expertly combines the brand’s DNA with the traditional Chinese culture to celebrate the beginning of a new journey in its centuries-old vision. This introspection is reflected in the reinterpretation of the classics of the male wardrobe with careful attention to detail and the use of luxurious Italian fabrics.

Fall-winter 2021 season: between tradition and innovation

Characterized by the presence of soft lines, tailoring and traditional aesthetics that blend in clothes in energetic red colour and neutral tones of black and grey. Floral tartan and paisley motifs introduce the classic style in a modern way, while metallic fabrics outline the landscape of the desert.

The collection was built on two recurring silhouettes: Bomber jackets paired with pleated trousers were the everyday alternative to traditional suits.

On the other hand, traditional formal wear has been revisited for suits made in luxurious Italian fabrics with stand-up collared jackets, a detail that has appeared in the entire line.

A range of clothes for special occasions with traditional Chinese collars made in jacquard wool and geometric motifs. With its understated elegance and level of craftsmanship, the collection provided a fine example of new Made in China fashion, combining traditional Chinese aesthetics, Italian elegance and contemporary trends.

Kb Hong also offers the suit, in black Italian jacquard fabric with small golden accents and embellished with charms, absolute protagonists of the night.
