IVY OXORD: SPORTSWEAR BRAND
Ivy Oxford, brand specializing in sportswear. Founded on the initiative of Luigi Cappio in 1959. Pioneering in the era for European sportswear. Production included a dozen garments in total. The Flying jacket in poplin, to the montgomery in blue cloth. Over time, it has arrived as a total look for the sportsman, with attention to changed needs of free time. Precisely to meet the demand of who practice extreme sports. Collection of jackets in stain-resistant and anti-crease fabric was launched in winter of 2002. He was supported in the management by his sons Laura, Alberto and Andrea. Distributed on the Italian market Schott N.Y.C., an American brand of leather jackets. In 2009 the brand started the study of accessories, belts, bags, scarves and hats. In 2011, opened the first single-brand store in Rome, in via Crispi. Total of 140 square metres furnished in wood and iron accommodating the brand’s proposals.
IVY OXFORD OWNERSHIP TRANSFER
In 2015 the Ivy Oxford brand changed ownership, from the family of Luigi di Cappio, to Giuseppe Lago’s Maat. Not only, in the same year the designer Francesca Liberatore was called to the creative direction.
