Italian Fashion School
Courses organized in Milan by the Chamber of Fashion, aimed at educating professionals ‘with basic skills and a specific knowledge to cover, above all, the new necessities of the sector’. In 2001 a new course was started for Art Director Corporate Image next to the already existing Fashion Buyer, Project Maker and Responsible Research, and Multimedia Development. The basic subjects are marketing, communication, English, commodity economics, and information technology. The courses are free, financed by the European Social Fund and the Lombardy region. They last for 8 months, three of which are spent at the companies associated with the Chamber of Fashion. An admission test is obligatory for high school and college graduates because the number of places is limited to 18.
