VAN DER STRAETEN IS A FRENCH JEWELLER AND DESIGNER
Hervé Van Der Straeten (1965) is a French jeweller and designer. Author of fantasy bijoux, he founded the company in 1985. He was 20 years old. Fashion designers such as Saint Laurent, Balmain, Lagerfeld, Lanvin, Rifat Ozbek, Martine Sitbon and Lacroix have commissioned him to create jewellery for fashion shows. His favourite materials are hammered and gilded bronze and brass. The subjects, often anthropomorphic, between popular saga and fairytale dream, sometimes take on spectacular proportions. With an international presence (Europe, United States, Japan, Arab countries), the company also produces decorative objects for the home.
