Simon (1950). English hairdresser. One of the most creative hairstylists, in addition to being the owner of the famous London salon Antenna, he became famous in the early 1980s thanks to the mastery with which he used electric razors and small machines to create sculpture-haircuts of great impact. But his fame was linked in particular to hair extensions, a technique inspired by the hair styles of the Rastafarians in Jamaica. It was based on the grafting of synthetic hair and allowed one to lengthen one’s own hair in an instant. And it was a look that contributed to the success of music stars such as Boy George and Annie Lennox.
