Flip-flops

Flat plastic sandal with short strips between the big toe and the toe next to it that hold the foot. Copied from the Japanese version, called zori, worn with white, black, or blue tabi cotton socks, specially made to fit around the thong. In origin this sandal was made of rubber and was used only at the beach or swimming-pool. After becoming a trendy shoe, it’s now manufactured in more expensive materials and can also be a platform shoe to wear in town.
