Flett

John (1963-1991). English designer. He was a wild talent who could not completely find himself. He graduated from the Saint Martin’s School in 1985. His first collections, with a cut that was elaborate, theatrical, and ultra-sexy, were purchased by Joseph in London and Bergdorf Goodman in New York. In 1988, he presented his first collection together with Galliano, Jasper Conran, and Betty Jackson. But his financial resources were almost depleted and, the following year, he reinvented himself as an assistant to Montana in Paris and, later, to Enrico Coveri in Florence. Just before signing a contract with Zuccoli for the design of a raincoat line, he died in Florence of a heart attack, on 18 January 1991.
