Flannel

Flannel 1700 A timeless great classic

Flannel Bay: clothing line

A combed or carded woolen fabric. It is warm and soft. The heaviest type is incorrectly called vicuna. Grey flannel trousers, worn by both men and women, are a timeless classic. Cotton flannel, very similar to plush, has a hairy surface and is used for shirts, nightgowns, pajamas, and bed sheets.

Flannel Bay classic clothing line for men is produced by Clan, a Neapolitan company founded by Antonio Deodato Laezza. The Laezza family brand has its roots in the Neapolitan tailoring technique, with sobriety and elegance that arise from attention to the details of the “sgarzillo”, the open buttonhole, the stitching. The clothes are made in five different lines with Australian merino wool by Carlo Barbera, with fabrics by Ermenegildo Zegna, with “Superissimo” by Fratelli Cerruti. They range from the tailored Classic to the Outdoor line, passing through the Collection, which is the most informal line, and the Soft, more casual. City Wear is the overcoat series. The Neapolitan showroom is located in Porta Capuana, in via Colletta.

The production structure is located in an industrial complex of approximately 3 thousand m2 15 km from Naples. Here, around 60 specialized and carefully selected workers from the Vesuvian area find employment who make use of the latest generation machinery. A truly enlarged laboratory in which advanced technology and manual tradition blend perfectly. The employment strategy was based on collaboration between master tailors and young apprentices.
