Fez

Hat in the shape of a truncated cone, in the center of which at the top a long cord with a tassel on the end is attached. The name comes from Fez, a city in Morocco where it was manufactured and from which it was exported. It is worn especially in the Middle East. Similar to the fez is the Turkish tarbush, dark red and cylindrical in shape. Decorated with tassels and cords, Muslim Turks wear it instead of the traditional skullcap.
