Femme

French monthly. The first issue was published in 1971. It was a glossy review of high fashion. It tried to undermine Vogue’s dominance in the field, but failed. The publisher Edilio Rusconi took it over in 1982 and transformed it into a quarterly, expanding the contents to include news and beauty. The graphic design was entrusted to Peter Knapp. Two years later, Rusconi gave up. Group F Magazine took over from him, and Femme returned to being a monthly.
