Dell’Olio

Louis (1948). American designer, born in New York. He has worked at Anne Klein II, the house of casual-elegant fashion established by Anne Klein in 1968. He has always been able, in a career of more than 20 years, to propose outfits that are characterized by simple lines and appropriate for any occasion. A student at the Parson’s School of Design until 1969, he has worked for several companies, including Teal Traina. At the death of Anne Klein in 1974, he was appointed co-designer of the house together with Donna Karan. The collaboration lasted 10 years, until Karan decided to start her own business. Once he became the sole head designer,Dell’Olio offered casual-elegant styles for practical and single women. In 1993, the Anne Klein brand was taken over by Richard Tyler. Since then, Dell’Olio has designed three lines for sale in department stores. Typical items are the linen blazers matched with suede trousers and the cashmere jackets with flannel skirts.
