Cindy Crawford (1966). Top model, born in De Kalb, Illinois. She has chestnut hair and brown eyes, and a mole above the right lip. She joined the world of models in 1982, participating in a contest at the Elite agency, even though she didn’t come in first. She then abandoned the study of engineering to devote herself to a career as a model. She exemplifies American beauty: clean, physically perfect, spontaneous, and happy. From the late 1980s to the late 1990s she was on the cover of the most important fashion magazines in the world, including Vogue, Elle, and Cosmopolitan. In 1991, she married the actor Richard Gere, but they separated four years later. In the U.S., her fitness videotapes had huge sales. After leaving fashion, she created a company for all her various activities, including Cindy Crawford perfume, contracts with Omega and Pepsi Cola, and many others. In 1998, she married Rande Gerber. She has two children, Presley and Caia.
