Her history

After graduated in Foreign Language High School, Giuliana Cella enriched her education by traveling abroad throughout 20 years; then, when her daughter was born, she came back to Milan, which she is very attached to and where she debuted, in 1997.

In 2001 she signed an agreement for her first license, with the yarn company Lineapiù, in order to produce unique and high quality knitwear.

In 2012, after three years passed away from fashion world, she opened her first monobrand shop in Cortina d’Ampezzo, an attractive place for big international tourism. Then, in 2015, she opened her second monobrand shop, in Milan, in via Bigli 24.

Fashion shows and exhibitions

Through the years Giuliana Cella managed to tie a bond with culture institutions: in 1999 she organized a fashion show in Milan Casa della Cultura, which, in that occasion, hosted a fashion event for the first time. In 2004 she was able to bring fashion in another institution, the European Parliament, where her three-days solo exhibit Atlanti tessili was organized. Furthermore, her griffe was the only Italian one to be invited to take part to a fashion show realized in Nevsky Palace in St. Petersburg. She also partnered with Vittoriale: indeed, she designed the uniforms worn by hostesses who worked there and she presented a collection of caftans – which are, in her opinion, a must-have in every wardrobe – to honour Mariano Fortuny, who at the time used to design clothes for Eleonora Duse.

The style of Giuliana Cella

Giuliana Cella, whose showroom has been staying in the Fashion Quadrilateral for decades, admits that she never followed trends, but that she had «the taste to make people unique and different». Her style, defined etno-chic, results from many travels all over the world, made looking for the best fabrics for her creations, and from contacts with different cultures.

Her items, rigorously made in Italy, are sold at ready-to-wear prices, but they are characterized by exclusivity: she designs patterns, embroideries and applications, in order to give to her customers something not only beautiful, but also soaked with history and culture.
