Derna (1912-1999). Dressmaker. Born in Faenza, she began working at a very young age. She started her own business at the age of 22, opening a dressmaker’s shop on via Oriani in Faenza. Here she would cut and sew clothes for more than 60 years, often traveling to Milan and Paris to follow the high fashion Collections. She reproduced the styles of Ungaro and Chanel from paper patterns and created custom-made clothes for her clients, always inspired by French fashion. She specialized in the manufacture of wedding dresses. For the families of Emilia Romagna, hers was an atelier of great importance. Among her clientele were actresses and opera singers.
