Carla Carini

Carla Carini is an Italian brand, founded in 1968 in Moglia (MN) by brothers Elleno and Carla Gasparrini.

The birth in the ’60s

In time, the Mantuan brand distinguished because of its talent to transpose traditional rules into a contemporary world and to offer its customers an elegant and refined style, which earned it the presence on many womenswear fashion magazines.

At the peak of success the main line Carla Carini, characterized by classical and casual clothes, was flanked by Onli Carini (evening dresses and more sophisticated pieces), Diario (an Anglo-American look oriented to young women) and Carinissima (more oriented to young trends). In 2001 Carla Carini had a turnover of 45 billion liras, whose 30 % came from abroad: the company, indeed, boasted 50 stores only in Germany and more than 20 in Spain, but it also exported to Japan and Taiwan.

The re-birth in 2021

In 2008 the brand was acquired by Marcovaldo group; then a series of changes of ownership happened, which concluded in 2017, with the failure. In 2021 the brand was acquired by CCFashion, company founded by Mantuan Marco Migliari, whose aim is to bring it back to international fame. In 2022 the new Creative Director was appointed: he was the young fashion designer Rocco Adriano Galluccio, who already founded Alcoolique and who said his aim was to revisit the brand’s know-how in a contemporary way.

Autumn/Winter 2022/2023 collection was the opportunity to introduce the first monogram Carla Carini and to increase again its distribution: under the sales management of Maria Elena Vitali Fitz, indeed, the company signed an agreement with Gruppo Zappieri Milano in order to sell its creations in the Milanese showroom.
