ASNAGHI LAURA IS AN ITALIAN FASHION JOURNALIST

Asnaghi, Laura is an Italian fashion journalist. Born in 1953, in June 1982 she enrolled in the association of journalists.

She has been working as a fashion editor for La Repubblica newspaper since the times of Natalia Aspesi. During her long career she has become the narrator of major fashion evolutions, observed and reported with a critical eye during the fashion shows which she attends.

From Armani to Moschino, from Versace to Fendi up to Dolce & Gabbana and Marni, Asnaghi builds a unique narrative with an intelligent and interpretative attitude.

Among her investigative reports there’s also the topic of sustainability, which became a central topic not only during the Milan fashion week but also in New York, Paris and London. Can fashion really be favourable to safeguarding the ecosystem? According to the journalist, fast fashion causes damage to nature. However the new generations of designers are paying attention to the environmental issue.

The throwaway culture can be changed by raising awareness of purchasing. However it was the Covid-19 pandemic that made a decisive change in conscious purchasing.
