Ashish has also taken on the role of Chief Design Officer for the international luxury brand Vanessa G, which was launched in London 2011.

Ashish is known for his deceptively simple and very refined aesthetic sense. His signature in the collections is characterized by extreme simplicity, lines without frills, immaculate cuts and perfect finishes. The liveliness, originality, intuition and original sense of style, combined with the impeccable construction of his clothes create extraordinarily simple but dramatic outfits.

Ashish N Soni is an Indian designer born in 1971 who launched his line in 1991. His clothes, with care towards the structure, are often characterized by reworkings of elements typical of the traditional clothing of his homeland. Noted by critics, and praised by the opinion press, he regularly participates in the New York Fashion Week and sells his creations all over the world.

THE STORY OF ASHISH N SONI

Ashish launched his brand in 1991, followed by his independent design studio Ikos Designs in 1993. Ashish’s story is full of records. In 1993 he became the first Indian designer to organize an independent show in Delhi. In the same year he was the first designer to be invited to the New York Fashion Week. He was also one of the first Indian stylists to retail from Selfridges.

Ashish organized his first exclusive menswear show in 1999. His experimentation with fabrics, which he infuses with unusual textures and treatments, led him to imagine embroideries for the House of Francois Lasage, in Paris. He was also chosen by the Indian government to present an exclusive collection commemorating the Khajuraho Millennium.
