Artknit Studios
Artknit Studios is a digital brand founded in Biella in 2018 by Alessandro Lovisetto. At the core of a worldwide renowned manufacturing area, in the textile district of Italian pre-alpine valleys, it’s specialized in the production of sustainable knitwear, made using Italian natural fibers.
In 2020 a loan agreement was signed with Encelado Ventures, Venture Capital SGR and Fondo Acceleratori: the 400.000 € the brand received were used to increase online expansion and penetration in new European markets.
Production
Managing three lines (menswear, womenswear and home collection), Artknit studios produces with the aim to mix the smallest environmental impact, a high quality and a long resistance. Its items are entirely realized by Italian artisans, in a controlled and traceable supply chain.
The aim of the company is to make luxury accessible to everyone: that’s possible because there are no middle-persons and the customer buys directly from producers, according to the direct-to-consumer business model. This strategy allows the brand to keep low prices for high quality items.
Artknit Studios style
All the creations by Artknit Studios are based on essentiality: the items are mainly characterized by neutral colors, right cuts and simple lines, in order to be perfect for everyday life.
The company uses materials such as: A level cashmere (pure fiber, of the best quality, very strong and soft, which prevents pilling), regenerated cashmere (obtained by industrial waste from cashmere fibers production), extra thin Merino wool (produced by textile company Zegna Baruffa Lane Borgosesia and characterized by shiny and soft finishing) and linen and organic cotton (spuns produced by Biellan company Servizi Seta).
