ART GOUT BEAUTÉ

ART GOUT BEAUTÉ

Art Gout Beauté was a French monthly magazine from the 1920s, created by the heirs of Albert Godde Bedin, a famous silk manufacturer from Lyon. At the beginning the main themes were the fabrics and their manufacturer.

Then there were the chronicles of fashion and Parisian life, the history of costume and worldliness alternated with the presentation of the models and the illustrated tables of furs, hats, clothes for children and accessories. At that time, the monthly magazine was the symbol of Parisian elegance. It reproduced the creations of the great tailors in the original colours. This luxury magazine on glossy paper, was published in three languages (French, English and German), illustrated with colour stamps or halftone engravings interspersed with the text.
