Alexandre Vauthier

Alexandre Vauthier is a French high fashion designer, he founded his brand in 2008

Alexandre Vauthier was born on November 30, 1971 in Agen, France. He studied at the ESMOD fashion school

and after graduating, in 1993 he began an internship at the prestigious Haute Couture fashion house of Thierry Mugler. Then, in 1997, he joined Jean Paul Gaultier, becoming responsible for the Gaultier Couture collection for eight years.

From 2012 to 2016 he was the artistic director of his premium line of the Pyrenex brand.

The brand

In 2008 he founded his couture house and made his debut in Paris in 2009 during Paris Fashion Week. From now on, Christian Louboutin will start designing all the shoes for the Vauthier fashion shows. An army of Amazons poured onto the catwalk, strong and sensual women dressed in dark gray dresses with a radical but sober cut. His natural need for precision and rigor and his radical cuts are expressed through a style inspired by his French culture and his Anglo-Saxon influences. Already from the first collection, Vauthier is not afraid to push luxury to the limit:

giant furs, transparent tops, draped and provocative dresses with open backs and plunging necklines.
