ALEJANDRA QUESADA, THE IMAGINATIVE BRAND OF MEXICAN ORIGINS

Alejandra Quesada is a Mexican designer who had experience with luxury brands such as Alexander McQueen before creating her own label. She was inspired by her origins and developed a pure, feminine and imaginative concept in her collections. The pieces have delicate colours such as pink, white and green with a touch of craftsmanship in embroidery and in laces in dresses, skirts and shirts. The designer sells her creations in Mexico, Japan, Dubai and England.

Her latest designs also include a hint to her Mexican origins. Alejandra Quesada has also been collaborating with Nike México since summer 2015. The subtly coloured designs pay homage to her quirky and playful side, but also fit perfectly with the Vogue style or the current Nike pop trends.

A native of Mexico City, Quesada left her birthplace in the mid-2000s to study fashion at IES, in Paris. In France she did internships with huge names such as Alexander McQueen, Tata-Naka and Isabel Marant.

It was her experience with McQueen that led her to develop innovative digital prints and, upon her return to Mexico, to launch her eponymous brand, Alejandra Quesada. While remaining strongly influenced by the culture of her country, her style is decidedly feminine and she has been nicknamed “the eternal teenager”.

Today her brand is growing but it is already established in many markets, such as Japan, the United Kingdom and, of course, Mexico.
