ACCADEMIA KOEFIA – INTERNATIONAL ACADEMY OF HAUTE COUTURE AND ART OF COSTUME

Accademia Koefia was founded in 1951 in Rome. The International Academy of Haute Couture and costume art had its first headquarters in piazza Cavour: today it’s located in via Cola di Rienzo. Fashion, costume design and graphics are taught there. Students access it after an entrance exam, the style course lasts 3 years. Among its courses, there’s also one for models.

Fashion studies are characterized by a strong practical laboratory component oriented to the practice of the profession. In fact, the Accademia Koefia teaches the production techniques of Haute Couture: from the Conception and Design of a Dress and a Collection, to Couture Modeling (3D Pattern) and Prêt-à-Porter (Cad Lectra), to tailoring manufacturing related to Fiber-Art, Fabric Decoration, Knitting, Furrier Processing, and Embroidery. Koefia fashion courses prepare complete professional figures, ready to enter the world of work in the fashion and high fashion sector. At the end of the three-year training course, 78% of Koefia students find a job at important Brands, Maisons, Ateliers, Fashion Houses.

Since 1951, the Koefia Academy has been teaching young people the secrets of High Fashion and of the production process of designing and creating clothes and collections. The prestige of the fashion school and the skills developed allow Koefia students to enter the world of work in prestigious Brands and Maisons within one year of graduation.

It has been accredited by E.A.B.H.E.S. European Accreditation Board of Higher Education Schools since 2014.
