AC9 is a brand that was created in 2019 when Alfredo Cortese, founder and creative director of the brand, decided to follow the need to express his vision through a personal project. This is how AC9 was born, which officially debuted with the spring summer 2020 collection.

Alfredo Cortese, born in 1988, of Catania origins, arrived in the fashion world after different experiences. After the bachelor’s degree in chemistry and a master in photography, he entered the world of communication and worked in PR. His dream, the goal of creating his own project led him to throw himself into the world of fashion from a new perspective.

“I have always thought of fashion as a form of contemporary art capable of attracting my attention. My eyes are constantly glued to advertisements and editorials. The curiosity towards other aspects, the rejection of the 9-5 routine and the desire to express myself are certainly the main reason for the launch of AC9 “.

AC9 tells a modern femininity, with an almost architectural style. Essential silhouettes, few colour mixes and almost absent prints. The style is influenced by rock music and divas of the nineties. A visual simplicity, which is not trapped in the concept of seasonality, but finds its expression in the study of volumes and minimal lines.

The craftsmanship, the quality of the fabrics and slow production are central aspects of AC9, which is committed to producing ever more sustainable collections.

Alfredo Cortese and AC9 are supported by Alessandro Dell’Acqua who, after having involved the brand in the consulting project for emerging brands launched with Tomorrow, entrusted the young designer with the creative direction of one of the two N21 capsule collections presented at the Milan Fashion Week in September 2021.
