Abraham

Silk factory founded in Zurich, Switzerland in 1878 by Jacob Abraham. It became famous after the First World War under the leadership of its president Gustav Zumsteg, transforming itself into Abraham Holding. Its fabrics are of extremely high quality, both for the high fashion and luxury prêt-à-porter lines. These include 250 printed silk fabrics, 100 jacquards and damasks, and about 30 types of plain dyed fabrics, the most well-known of which is gazar, a sort of silken gauze created exclusively for haute couture and presented in more than twenty colors.
