Hardwick

Cathy (1933). Korean designer. Born in Seoul. She was not immediately interested in fashion as she started her studying with music. In the 1960s she opened her own boutique shortly after moving to San Francisco. She continued her business in New York, where she has had her own business since 1972. She distinguished herself for her original style. Among her most important creations was the Summer Collection in 1987, when she presented long jeans skirts buttoned along the sides, with long deep vents.
She collaborated with Tom Ford and with some American houses of ready-to-wear, such as Joan and David, for which she created line that distinguished itself for the refinery of woven fabrics in light colors.
